Default Is it necessary to have ems?

Ok i want to go all motor and i was thinkin about the ems. Is it really needed for all motor or no?

Um, well yeah. With out an engine mangement system, your tunning capabilties are limited.

Yeh the reason i'm askin cause ppl be tellin me that i don't really need it unless i go turbo? They told me to just chip my ecu? So i don't know.

you don't need it but it will make it a whole lot easier to tune, it is more of a matter of wanting it

your OPTIMAL situation is to use somthing like the AEM ems or hondata.

an Apex VAFC or SAFC will give you more tuning than stock.

i would never personally run a chipped ecu on a modified engine because every motor reacts diffrently. small things like temprature or altitude can completley change fuel and timing numbers.
