Default D16Y7... where is the OIL DIPSTICK supposed to go...??? Im serious!

Well, I just bought a D16Y7 block to start building... and I cleaned it nice and got it painted, and Im going to start putting it together soon...

My question is, where does the oil dipstick go on the motor? Its not the same as my other D series engines, where it goes in the front... I can't seem to find the area where it needs to go...

I don't care if this sounds stupid folks, please help me out!

Its a 97 D16Y7 block... if that helps..

right side of the exhaust manifold, near the timing belt.

The dipstick is located at the base of the timing belt plastic cover. Does the motor have the oil pump on it? It may even go into the front of the oilpump housing itself. I don't rmemeber for sure.

Its a BARE BLOCK! No oil pan, no oil pump, no timing cover at all..

I don't see an area where it would go folks... and frankly Im getting worried that I might have gotten a damaged block of somesort...

Can anyone post a pic of a D16Y7 and show me?

I don't have a picture, but it goes through a hole in the oil pump housing. The dipstick tube sits in the hole and runs up along the side of the motor next to the timing belt cover. There is no dipstick hole in the actual block itself like previous D blocks.
