Surging Idle on my 91 Integra
Hello, I have own a 2000 Prelude and a 91 Daily Driving Integra. My problem is that my idle on the integra is surging up and down when the car is completely warmed up. Has anybody have the same problem. Any suggestion and the process of what I should do would be greatly appreciated. Please help thanks!
Hey there,
My "other" car is 90 Integra.
Your idle is set too high.
Just pull the VAIC (I think that's what its called) and adjust the idle screw
on top of the throttle body.

I had this same problem on my car. I had to adjust the TPS, but unless it has to be modified to adjust it. I sent mine to JG a few years ago, and they did the modification for me, so it was alittle easier to do.
If your tach is bouncing at idle, you may have to check your sensors. Got a Haynes manual? Adjusting the idler screw should only work if the tach is surging, not bouncing. Get a ohm-meter and the manual, and say f*** the dealership.
Check your TPS and purge valves, then adjust your idle screw on the back of the throttle body, that fixed my 92 teg like a charm!
