Has this ever been done?
I have a 4 door Integra.. I was wondering if there is any way I can convert my four door trunk/taillight into a two door trunk/tail. Reason being, I'd like to do a "special trunk/tailight conversion." I'm not gonna say what kind, cuz I dont want anyone to bite me.. haha
answer please

What. The hell. Are you. Talking. About?
You want to put the hatch from a 2-door onto your sedan and then rice it out with some odd taillight conversion? Go to clubSI we-todd.

Sorry, but this makes no sense. You say you want a 2 door conversion on your taillights, but then you say special, and that you don't want to get bitten??? Well no I don't think that has been done, but if you want supras then I think it is done, but if you want preludes then no. Am I close??? hahahah...
You ******* are so negative.. Hey, i dont come from a rich family and **** ok, take it easy.. I'm gonna work with what I have, eventually I'll get a 5spd swap but my main focus right now is to work on getting a lil quicker then right now, and a little cosmetics.. If ya'll really wanna know, I'm gonna try a 4th Gen Integra (RSX) tailight Conversion.. Call it rice but I think it'd look different in a cool way. If I had a 2 door, it might be easier, but like I said I work with what I have. I'm 19, sorry I don't have $$$ to buy expensive cars but ya'll need to show some people who work hard with what they got, some respect.. nuff said

though i dont know what a 2 door conversion is, you have a good point. Its hard not to want to mod your car even if you don't have crazy money to buy on a whim...
This kid would know.
Thanks man, glad to see someone here understands.. well, what i mean by 2 door trunk conversion is that: I have a 4 door, the trunk and taillights are totally different.. In order to do a RSX tail light conversion, it would be much easier to have a 2 door ya know?

my suggestion, save the money you are gonna use on this conversion and put it into the engine. then when you have the speed, go ahead and do whatever you want to your body.
[cartman voice]it's my body, i'll do whatever the hell i want[/cartman voice]

Thats some good advice.. i can't 5speed swap until my dad gives me the title when I move out the pad.. so right now, my options are: level ten tranny(torque converter), T3 Turbo (already have Turbo and Manifold), new spoiler (cracked oem spoiler), coilovers (4x4 yo), lip kit.
Thanks

I'd hate to rain on your parade but there are no original ideas in the world of modifying. If you thought of it, it has either already been done, is getting done or somebody else is thinking of getting it done.
I'm 28 years old and have been modifying cars since I was 16 so I have had a lot of ideas that by the time I go to a car show I already see it. Then I say to myself "**** I wanted to do that".
What I am saying is that, yes I have seen the Acura RSX tailights in Integras and Civics. There were two Integras, both two doors and two Civics this past show season. And that was only on the east coast.
My advice to you is to do what you want even if it has already been done. If you like how it looks go for it. I also want to say that if you are doing any light conversion it doesn't matter what platform you are starting with. If your body man is good that they can make it happen. Good Luck.

Well, there is already a rsx taillight conversion on a coupe from autobots out here and there will soon be one on a 300zx from premier (i dont know why). he also has the s2000 headlights on the front but they're turned up and down to look like a new z on his 93 z... anyways, the conversion should cost a decent amount of money and i know how hard it is to come by. either way, if you get the conversion you'll spend more on the paint and probably a kit to help the taillights not look weird so if you dont want all that stuff then just save til the right time. good luck
btw dont take it to the cause some peeps on the board flame on "ricey" cars.
