getting my b16a soon but confuse about this part...
i went through about 30 and up pages and went through a hell lot of search...
-this is from a crx and civic swap guide i down loaded........
28. Carefully remove the engine harness from the motor, you also need to remove the plugs for your injectors off the stock motor.
29. Now you need to plug from the harness to all your sensors, its pretty much plug and play and its not that easy to confuse.
does that mean i take off the wire harness off of the b16a and use the wire harness off of my 91 si for the set up?

yes that is right you use your si wiring harness on the b16a engine. but you hvae to add four wires to that harness to make it go with the b16a, knock sensor, 2nd 02 sensor, vtec selonoid, and i cant remember the last one off the top of my head.

---does any one got pictures of their wire setup?
there is much confusion as to whether or not the SIR/ XSI harness is plug and play in a US spec car. i have a full harness, i would like to use it, and from my research on it, everything seems to line up. to save yourself a headache, remove the stock harness off of your motor and transfer it onto the B16. then add a wire that will run to the back of the block to the knock sensor, it is a big green single wire plug. the other end will go to the middle ecu plug, on the top right hand corner.
the 2nd o2 sensor wire will go up front, where the o2 sensors are.
the vtec solenoid is the small cylinder on the front left side of the head. it has a single wire going to it, run this wire to the empty spot on the upper ecu plug, in location A8.
the final wire goes to the vtec pressure sensor, this is a 2 pin plug located on the side of the vtec solenoid. the wire from the ecu will go to the green wire. the red wire gets grounded. somebody double check me here, my car is not around to check.
check out katman's vtec wiring page for 88-91 ED's, and 90-91 DA integras. search for the hybrid website. hope this clears some stuff up for you.

use your stock harness on the d16/d15 and put it on the b16 while its out of the car...
youl notice 4 plugs not being used on the b16, this is what the conversion harness is for.. and tap the conversion harness into the pr3/pwo ecu.. its sounds much more difficult than it really is, just read the instructions once you get your harness and youll understand it, im sure..
on the front crossmember heres what i did.. theres like 3 or 4 spot welds on the front motor mount on the xmember.. use a drill and drill these welds out, then grab a hammer and beat it off once your SURE theres no more spot weld some of them are hiding and dont want to be drilled. then bash that sucker off and take a grinder and grind off the sharpe edges and spray it hotpink or black to match the rest of the engine bay colors... this is what i did with my hasport billet kit and b16a 4-2-1 dc header and i didnt have to mod the xmember at all after removing the front motor mount.
and also dont forget to pound the area on the rear xmember where the mount is, mine i though looked fine and wouldnt vibrate the car, and i was wrong and it does and its really annoying and a pain in the *** to do once the motor is in.. .
hope this info helps clear it up for ya more man

o yea, what ecu can i use for the b16a? the guy i'm gettin the motor from sold his ecu already and he has a 92 to 95 ex ecu, would that work?(i think it won't but my little brother told me it should)
you need a pr3, or pw0 ecu. 5spd. Check ebay, or hmotorsonline.com, or a similar source. Ryan
The reason you cant use the SiR/XSi harness on your car is becuse the wires are made for a RHD car and are made to reach to the oppposite side of the car, meaning the wires would be to short. Use your factory wireing harness and add the four nesacery wires.

on me but now i got a good deal on the motor n every thing.all i really goin to need is the ecu and the motor mounts the rear metal bracket that attaches to the rear motor mount.the stock mounts are still on the motor and the tranny........can it be use for any thing? n paper wieight doesn't count.....-alex
Im the one who wrote the guide you are reading so i will explain it to you
there is 2 reasons
1) like someone above stated The reason you cant use the SiR/XSi harness on your car is becuse the wires are made for a RHD car and are made to reach to the oppposite side of the car, meaning the wires would be to short. Use your factory wireing harness and add the four nesacery wires.
2) you havent got your swap im almost willing to bet you 100 bucks that your harness will be cut. thus you would need an uncut engine harness (read: stock si harness)

just use the harness off of your si, and add the four neccessary wires, which include 2nd o2 sensor, vtec, vtec oil pressure, and knock sensor.
you cant use a jdm harness, simply because they ar right hand drive and will not work. thats reall all there is to it.
The only remotely hard thing is running those 4 wires from the engine bay to the interior, and then pinning the ecu.

I may be considering selling my zdyne one-wire conversion reprogrammed pm6 for the b16. I never used it because it was my error that the pw0 wasn't working.

i'm sorry i have no idea
but i have a PR3 computer chipped with skunk2.
