Default window motor

hey guys, need a little help. this morning when i started my car, i wanted to roll up my driver side front window and it wouldnt go up. i tested all the other windows and they work fine. i also switched the fuses w/ a couple different locations and it still didnt work. when i hold the button to roll the window up, i dont hear anything at all, no like sounds that sound like the motor is snagged or anything. help me!

Take the panel off and look at the motor and all that good stuff. I wouldn't know what to look for once I got it off, but it's a start. I think most Accord windows are renound for sucking ***.

Worse comes to worse get a helms manual and try to work it out.

i would start by checking the wires that plug into the switch on driver's side door. if you can, switch one of the other switches that you know works onto the window in question and see if that makes a difference. diagnosis is 90% of repair. at least you might be able to locate the problem. you will have to remove the door panel for this. also, for next time, all of us accord owners should regularly treat our windows with silicone lube spray, i think 3m is the best stuff. it makes a world of difference in keeping the windows rolling smoothly and quickly and will help the motors last longer.

It seems all most all Accord windows have this problem, mine included, i have taken the door panel off, and did everything inside of there that one could do. I believe the only solution is a new motor and switch. The thing is which supplier to go too? If any one has this answer, please submit. Just joined the crowd here, looks like a great site.

The Search Feature
Topics, espeically basic ones, get covered frequently. I realize the search function is not perfect and doesnt work quite as well as we all would hope. But nothing prevents you from scrolling back to pages from the past. It is an excellent way to research. If you know your question is a newbie question then look around first! We are all here to help each other, but you must help yourself first.
this might be useful

DUDE!!! you need to utilize the SEARCH FUNCTION....for every person writing the same stupids questions must be driving the Tech Admins nutz....I know I would be going nutz. Tech support/Admin work is like feeding baby food to idiots, trust me I have had to deal with it before.

PLEASE USE SEARCH
