Default Clutch Switch

i have an 88 DX and it never came with a switch so i can turn on my car without stepping on the clutch.

Is there a site tht shows me how to wire one up or does anyone have any clear and useful diagrams i may use?

I need it put in so i can make some runs at the local track (regulation)

not trying to be an *** BUT why would you need that? i mean it takes 2 seconds to put your foot on the clutch, push it in and turn the key.

If you really want to do this the clutch switch is located near the top of the pedal lever you got to get in there and look up and you will see it. There are 2 wires running to it so you cut those 2 wires off the switch go to radio shack and find a simple 2 pole switch then wire those 2 wires to the switch. when the switch is "on" you will be able to start the car without pressing the clutch when it is "off" you won't be able to start the car period. So what you do is hide the switch some where so when you leave your car you can fip it to "off" and if someone tries take your car they'll have to push start it or connect the dots. Or you could get a multi position switch and use the factory switch along with the multi pole switch so you can switch between using the factory switch and no switch.

Also you don't really need a switch and you can be real ghetto and just have the 2 wires hanging loose and when you need to start the car you just twist them together so you can pretend you are hot wireing a car like in the movies.

if you want to put a stock cluch switch in you'll have to change the pedal assembly. it's a strait swap. you can use a 90 91 civic/crx set up. just unbolt one and swap it with the other. i did the same thing to mine so i could hook my launch controll up to it.

sorry, yes evilxkid has it, the 91 has a clutch switch, you should be able to get a pedal assembly from one of those.

89+ have a safety switch. My brother simply yanked one out of a boneyard, made his own bracket, and used his 88 pedal assembly.
