Just installed b16a ina ed9. Wont start. Doesnt seem to be getting spark, new plugs/wires, replaced coil, and cap..... What else could it be??? There are two grounds hooked up, one on the right side (facing the motor) and the other on the tranny, should there be anymore?? What else could be causing us not to have spark?? The DAMN thing wont start!!! Pleaseeeeeeee help....

 

that is your prob ...make sure to check the ground on the starter...that was my prob..also on all your grounds make sure that the surface is clean and free of paint....

 

how about the ground on the t stat housing?

 

Yep, check that, if not that see if your atleast getting fuel to the engine.

 

Not getting fuel to engine, it seems grounded, tested it, and it turns over all day long, so the ground shouldnt be a problem.... just no fuel/spark.....

pr3 ecu, should that red light be on or off, other than flashing codes, which it is NOT doing.... the light is neither on / or flashing??

Havent wired up additional 4 wires yet, would that make a difference??/

 

what is this t stat housing? where is it??

 

i'm pretty sure its on the back left side of the block (when facing the motor from the front of the car). look for a ground connection there or a tapped hole for a screw and ground strap.

 

the thermostat houseing is....follow the lower radiator hose. the thing that is goes into is the thermostat houseing. make sure it is grounded. make sure the starter is grounded, and make sure the valve cover is grounded
