post about guy messing up fender cuz of control arm
Somehow I found a post about someone with an accord (I think it was a accord) and he had installed ingalls type camber kits. His upper control arm got stuck up in the inner fender and I think it broke his lower control arm.. I forgot exactly what happened. Anyway there were some pretty freaky pics of how the tire bent out the top of the fender.. I've been searchin for like 30mins now and still cant find it. Someone help.

what excatly happen i had my ingalls slip on me and it would make a thud sound because when i would make a right turn it would push the pass side ingal out and make my control arm extend in result hitting the top of my fender and making that thud noise.. i got a new pair but now i get a thud when i brake hard or accel hard. . not all the time but it does it . it's not like a click click sound from the cv joint.. more like a loud KNOCK or thud. when i accel or brake.. once in a while it's not very constant..
I have heard nothing but horror stories with ingalls camber kits. I sprung for the progress camber kit. Been on my car for voer 2 yrs. No problems, no slipping nuthing!

I'm sure you could imagine what would have happened at highway speeds.
The inner damage...
Poor Parada Spec 2
...
We had to get a scissor jack in the wheel well to get it off of the ground enough to get a floor jack under it to get it high enough to get the damn tow truck hooked up. $45 to get it up my driveway as I got to watch the exhaust tips grind up my driveway...

There is absolutely nothing wrong with Engalls camber kits. If installed correctly and then re-tightned after alignment, there should be no problem. Although I have had a camber kit once in the front that sucked. Best thing I ever did was throw those out and buy the Engalls.
did the lower bolt break? is that what caused the wheel to come loose, if so did u hit a big bump or something? im worried now cause im slammed as low as u if not more
****, I'm glad that hasn't happened to me, and hope it doesn't. Right now I'm dropped 3 inches with Tein HAs. I decided to get a camber kit after getting camber specs from an alignment. The front was off by 2.5 degrees. Also, the car pulled to the left. I bought a camber kit off a friend, and installed it. Only problem is that to compensate for the drop and making the tires within spec, the A-arm has to go higher up into the shock tower. So if I hit a bump hard enough, I'll hear the A-arm hitting the top of the shock tower. Inside the engine, the paint has begun to chip in the area of banging. It's the price I pay for being slammed.
My kit was not an Ingalls kit. It was a brand I bought at Summit Racing (I think it was stated in the original post). Luckily I had just back out of my driveway and begun to go forward when CLUNK SCRAAAPPE. My car just hit the ground. The tow truck couldn't get the tow arm under the car so we had to use two jacks just to get it up high enough. If I would have been driving the car, I would have no doubt had NO control as to where the car would be heading and being that the bottom of the car in that corner was on the ground, it most likely would have been spinning out of control. The problem with mine was the upper control arm banged on the body until one time it got wedged in there. Then from the weight of the wheels and suspension not being allowed to move, the stress stripped the nut off of the ball-joint which caused it to pull out. I hope that explains it. If your control arms are hitting your body, inspect it to make sure they're not sticking. I hear you can get a BFH and pound out the body where it hits for more clearance.

Its not the ingalls its the car, you have to modify the car!
I took my car to a body guy who took an air jack/pump thing to the part where the control arm hits the shock tower. its perfect now...doesn't ever hit! oh and he pounded out the inner fender with a hammer. it never ever, ever scrapes or comes close, I have at least a half inch of clearance and I've got nuespeed race + ingalls. Im pretty sure I'm safe from having those problems, I have even jumped my car (gone airborn over a hill) at 80-90mph with out any problems.

Dropped my 94 EX and then got a specialty products camber kit. Ran into the same problem but took care of it before i even test drove it. I cut out a notch in the inner fender support where the control arm hit which allows it to move up and down freely. Took the car to a shop to get alligned and i havent heard any hitting or knocking at all. I have even been through some pretty large dips in the road with no problem. Words of advice.....fix it right the first time so you wont have to spend the $$ in the future.
whoa, scarey. has this only happened with the ingalls camber kit? i have a progress kit up front, no problems yet... stew, how much was your car lowered???
do i spy altezzas? mabey not but just wondering
