What setup would you go with if you had 5,000 to spend on a motor? B18c5 included. This is for an eg civic coupe by the way.

I would buy a buy a b16a1, a cheap LS block, some good pistons/rods, and a turbo set-up. I also think that a JRSC and a small shot of notrous is a nice sleeper set up

I believe he meant that B18C5 is a choice, since at the $5k price mark that would be a possiblity. I would go built turbo any day before a B18C5, why put out 175HP of low torque when you could go with a B18 Turbo and be putting out 215HP and high 180 Torque.
