Default another filter question for the j's intake. k&n filter question

which one of these filters would be the best fit? these are their cone type filters:

the intake has a 4in. opening correct?

here is a link to k&n page on their universal filters. can anyone tell me which 4in. filter to get?
http://www.knfilters.com/universal/univrndtap.htm

any help is appreciated as there is 8 filters to choose from. i think the angled one is automatically eliminated, so thats 7.

help a guy out here all you tech geniuses

Choose the one with more filtering area. It'll breathe better. Although, there are more choices than just K&N.

like what, which one on that list would you recommend? what other filters would you recommend? car is N/A.

the one number rf-1018 looks to be the biggest with a 5in outer diameter and 6.5in length. that one seems to have the biggest area and is 3rd in length.

any ideas or comments. keep in coming guys.

Uh, my stock J's filter BARELY fits in my engine bay. It either comes real close to the strut tower bar or the hood. How are you going to fit a LONGER filter in there? Mine is already within an inch of the radiator overflow container. Better be real careful and take some measurements, not everything will fit just because it has a 4" diameter. There is definitely limited space.

You can try the Comptech blue filter, if you don't mind use a foam filter. If taken apart, it fits the 4" inlet with the provided clamp. I understand that a foam filter flows more air than a cotton gauze one.
