angel eye problem

angel eye problem

when i rigged up my resistor (220k) to my LED on the + side and i hooked it up to a 9v battery it doesn't light up... i solder my wires and everything... anyone might know whats wrong?

grab another led and do it again..
what led did you get?
3.5v?

i grabbed a 5v i think... radioshack was out of 3.5v i think

Make sure the wires are hooked up to the correct polarity... LED's (diodes) will only allow current flow in one direction.
