Default When sleeving to 84mm should i bother with matching the chambers?

I was told by the people doing the sleeving on my block that i would have to match the chambers if i chose to go to 84mm sleeves, Is this true?

What are the pro's and con's of doing this?

Is my compression ratio effected? (pistons are currently 9.0:1 Wiseco's)

thanks,

Yes it will affect your comp. ratio. Any time you remove material you lower the ratio. As far as pros/cons I was wondering this myself.

It will drop your compression by at least .4. I had my head ported, but left the stock 81mm bore. I am running a 84.5mm bore. I just have to be careful with my timing curves, to make sure that i dont cause hot spots on the edge sitting around the combustion chamber. In all honesty, you wont have a problem with doing it.

I did it, but my head was at Portflow already. there was a good 5-6 page topic regarding this a few months ago. Search archived topics.
