will a 6th gen coupe muffler fit on a 6g hatchback?

my buddy needs a new muffler to pass inspection, he has a hatch. i have a stock muffler laying around off my EX coupe. Will it fit? i'm assuming its too long but can it be modded to fit? we were going to try tonight because right now he has no muffler and its loud as **** and very illegal

i believe its too long, he'll run into the lca, it'll bump and maybe not fit, i wish i stil had that stock hatch muffler layin around for ya....good luck

thanks! if anybody in VA or MD has a muffler for a hatch laying around for sale please let me know. the muffler shop took off his old one so he needs it asap

i modified a coupe exhaust to fit on my hatch. the middle section fits perfectly, but on the axleback we had to cut out about 6 inches to make it fit. it doesn't rub against anything, no problems with it. the only thing was that it was too long, it fits perfectly now.
