will car start up if msd ignition unit is defective?
i have an msd 6a and stock coil on my turbocharged SiR. when i first installed it, the throttle response improved noticeably, i didn't even told my bro about the improvement and decided to wait for him to drive it, just to be sure it's not psychological. he also notice the improvement.
but after several kilometers of driving the throttle response went back to stock feel, it's not as responsive as before and it's very similar to when we haven't hook the msd in yet.
can throttle response suddenly deteriorate? the car still start up fine and no problem starting it up at all. could it be the msd 6a? will the car still start up with a defective msd? any ideas? thanks.

Hey Endless, The MSD system will chew through caps and rotors pretty quick.
Check or replace your cap and rotor and ensure your ignition timing is correct. try gapping your plugs a bit wider too.

ok thanks guys. i guess i've to wait til i get an external cap. by the way, i haven't adjusted timing ever since i bought the car(1999) can the ignition timing go out of spec by itself?
