Frankenstein Engine - VTEC solenoid
I have a frankenstien engine (CRV block with a Type-R head) installed in a 2001 Integra. The engine is gettting fuel cut-off at about 5000 rpm. I have been told that the VTEC solenoid is not plugged in because the wiring harness is missing this wire. I am looking for a way to 'hot wire' the VTEC solenoid.
Sounds to me like you are running in "limp" or back up mode. It's obvious that you should have a constant lit check engine light. You need to jump the connector harness and see what codes you are throwing.
