to those with msd and stock coil, how did you do it?
to those with msd like 6btm, 6a, 6al & etc and STOCK COIL, did you guys hook yours like in this site: http://www.c-speedracing.com/howto/msdbtm/msd.php which is, drilling a hole on the stock distributor cap and using female spades to connect the wires inside?? if not, then how did you do yours?
Get the MSD converted cap and blaster coil, the stock coil is the weakest thing in the ignition.
But yeah, the C-speed is the way to go. Just make sure your wires don't touch the rotor inside! Ooooh!

That's the only way to do it with a stock coil. One way or another you have to run the stock coil wires out and the coil wires from the MSD back in.
I drilled a hole in my distributor though when I first put mine in like 4 years ago and used a gromet. Nice and neat and the wires don't get all funked up when you take the dist cap off.
I also used a 2 position terminal strip to connect the wires. Just a little touch of class

You can get something that converts your stock dis cap to an external coil cap.Its a msd part and cost about 13bux.3x less than the modded msd cap and works just as good.I have one on my gsr motor.
Here's one related, but not not on topic:
How did you run your MSD with the ECU? Do you still use the ECU timing pulses or did you just by-pass it with a "faker" box? I wanted to use an Electromotive unit because I'm still using a stock one after 6 years. I think it's time to upgrade so I don't get that nasty back fire all the time when the revs are dropping. I just don't know if I need to have the ECU pulse's or not.
