Civic half size radiator in accord?
Are you willing to take a chance with that puny little radiator cooling a 2.2l engine w/ boost?
First of all - What kind of Accord? What is going to be your turbo setup? Some mfr's have kits made for the Accord (F22 & H22) and they still use the same size radiator.

I'm using a f22b2(built) and drag gen 4 manifold, but all piping will be done by myself custom.
As far as taking chances. I'm willing to take a lot of chances, but I was mainly interested in hearing what/if others have experimented with this. If not, I'll be doing the experimenting.

Unless you put an intercooler next to it, and not in front of it, you'll overheat less than if it were in front. But either way, a Civic radiator can't handle the amount of heat you'll create. I suggest going a different route. Also, mounting it would be a hassle that you wouldn't want to get into.

Good call - either way, I haven't gotten any "I tried and it doesn't work" responses so I'll probably give it a shot if I do run into fitment problems. Fabricating a mount will be the least of my worries...
what about when civics put in h22 motors i dont think they change their radiator
I do think it can be done, but following a couple of things:
-Lower Temp thermostat
-A mix between water and coolant with more water than coolant and perhaps, Water Wetter.
-A REALLY good radiator, 2 rows or three (caterpillar style this is when the rows looks like this
_--_
-you REALLY need temp gauges (in and out of the radiator) that way you wouldn't blow your engine.
-A good fan

well, what i suggested will work but its your call in the end. why not just keep the factory rad and put an electric slim fan on it. that will free up a lof of space.
stick with an accord radiator and forget the smaller civic one especially if you live somewhere that is fairly toasty in the summer suxh as AZ

dont do it for the motor sake!! my carbon hood melted from the heat under the hood from my turbo manafold and waste gate. take somthing else out like your AC
and remove you ac fan, it blows out any ways, then you will have some room.
i did all my pipping and took every thing out , power stearing, AC, winsheild washer resavor you name it..... it's gone. it sucks in the summer time and parallel
parking... but it's not a daily driver...so i dont know if your palanning on having a fully built turbo honda daily driver if not rip the **** out! good luck and what ever you do dont take the plunge for the civic radiator, or you will be back on here
asking where to get your new head milled at.. after you warp your's.

why not look into FAL fans. i think they are mad thinner .
I didn't think they had any fans that fit our radiators.

Thanks for all the posts guys. Still not sure what I'll do, we'll see if I run into space issues when I mount up the turbo and mani. I won't be using an air/air intercooler. Going liquid/air so I won't have to worry about heat soak as much.

Do let us know how it goes, thus far I have yet to find a manifold that works for what I would like it to do. (i.e. Equall length runners, retaning ac and power steering) So if any one knows of a manfiold that meets theses qualififcations let me know! I am thinking if the smaller radiator works might give me a few more options.
another thing you guys could do (if not using AC, not for you KCHybrid) is remove the condensator and put the fans in fron of the radiator, that will clear some space up
im an idiot --- im using the turbo -perfromance manifold on my accord f22b2 and i had to move my main fan fot the manifold and the turbo to fit, my ac fan i s now my main fan and i bought a motorcycle radiator fan and put it in from of the radiator with stock radiator. It works fine and now in the winter i dont even use the motorcycle fan but in the summer it has to be on
