Spooge coming out of turbo...
Well, I have a Garrett T-25 from a pontiac sunbird. In the process of cleaning it up, using WD-40, and dish detergent, with turbine housing removed for "special" purposes, it is leaking goop from in between the cast iron center peice and the little metal "top" thingy. The part between the turbine and the center section. My questions are: How bad is this? What is it? Will it go away/stop when I put the turbine housing back on and tighten it up?Thanks for any help!
It's more like a gray, funky-*** spooge. From what I can tell, it is not oil. It is a goop. It may well have been oil at one point... It ain't no mo'
It is gray and thick.
It is gray and thick.
I have tons of pics... just no where to host em'. Also, when you rotate the metal "collar" between the turbine and center housing. It makes a grinding noise and more glop comes out. My brother keeps telling me to stop doing it, but I can't...
check your oil. when oil misses with radiator fluid it become a white milkshake color and it is thick like it too. That is the only thing I can think of.

I think I need to clarify that the turbo is not on the car. Anything it is is from the turbo itself. Coked oil, liquefied seals, I dunno... It is grey glop.
