Default T3/60-1 .82 A/R efficiency issues (searched)

Ok well if i am reading this right this turbo looses efficiency at about 1 bar. But it can develop 600hp (on stock bore B18C) some how? can someone tell me at what bar this looses efficiency, thanks

The maps don't desribe effieciency levels in terms BAR. They decribe it in pressure ratios per rpms of the turbo shaft. IE It's how fast your turbo is spinning with the BAR your trying to push. The more pressure you push the sooner you're going run out of your efficiency level. The bigger the turbo the higher you can push it.

You size it for the amount of boost you want and when you want it in your rpm band. You were close, but there's a little more to it.

A little FYI, the 60-1 maps are not really the true maps. Supposively there arent any solid maps released to the public of the 60-1.

If you want a rough guesstimate of what how you would be able to xxx amount of HP on XX turbo use this turbo calculator.

http://www.turbofast.com.au/turbomap.html

Not only will it plot your motors progress across the compressor maps, but it also gives a rough estimate of how much HP you can expect.

EDIT: for VE % use 105% at 7000+ RPMs and below use 95 and lower depending on how low the RPM's are.

I did some searching a while back and found that the H22's have a VE% of 102 @ 7000 RPM, and S2000's have a VE% of 112% at peak HP (cant remember what RPM peak HP is for them). Most VTEC and motors with similar technology typically have higher than 100% VE that occurs above where they normally do on normal cars (IIRC other cars have peak VE at, peak torque).
