The are worked ITR cams.

For the savings in money and matching cam gears I would opt for the Skunk2 Stage One's which should pull better power than the Spoon cams anyways. Both will use ITR valvetrain. The Stage One is rumoured to make power to about 8700 give or take a few RPM.

Buy Skunk2. Save the extra $150 on cams and $125 on gears (compared to Spoon, shouldn't mix n' match to keep warranties in check) and get some Ti retainers, and a head gasket, or some dyno time.

If you don't tune them you will have no benefit from them outside of the additional noise they make.

I had all the cam specs but deleted them.

Personally for mild cams that use ITR valvetrain i would want a TODA A. These are pricey and have no real top end (7500+) but are a smooth midrange cam that has a few lumps to make agressive midrange and VTECX over.

I rarely do this but,

Did you SEARCH for this information first?

All if it is here in the TypeR forums archives; the dyno charts, the specs, the debates.
The Good, the Bad and the Ugly...

Geez that was a classic Clint flick.

I would pass on the spoon cams. Good road race cams but it won't give you much power up top over ITR/CTR cams.

Intake 256@1mm lift Exhaust 245@1mm lift.

Spoon uses Honda cam cores to cut their cams and they are not worked ITR cams. Spoon cams doesn't require valvetrain upgrade for B16/18 engines and you can still rev your engine to 9k in a safe condition. Also, Spoon has tested their cams in Gr.A series and they are as durable as stock.

Group A race series was disbanded years ago and all Group A race motors were from Mugen, not Spoon. Spoon runs in N1 where camshaft modification is not allowed.

It depends on how much you spend on them, and what your trying to do.

And Spoon Cams have been out for the B Series for years and Spoon Builds engines/Cars for other Race Team like CWestin & many others who race in series other than N1.

I kinda like how the Spoon cams match up vs. the Toda A...

Spoon - 11.53 mm, duration - 256 @ 1mm 11.13 mm, duration - 245 @ 1mm

Toda Spec A - 11.6 mm, duration - 250 @ 1mm 11.2mm, duration - 240 @ 1mm

Spoon cams are great , they make good midrange and decent top end over the itr cams , but for the price that you pay for them .You are better of going with Toda A's , Skunk 2 stage 1 or Jun 1
if not something more agressive . an if you plan reving pass 8400rpms i would recommend valvetrain , is always better to be safe then sorry ....
