Hey I am counting the days down untill i have enough money for a turbo kit and pistons and rods..........I want a new kit but i was wondering if you can trust buying a used one...and who makes a good turbo kit for My car ( 96 Civic coupe ex) i plan on keeping the SOHC ............Oh one more question... what do you think ill run with turbo or tell me what i would need to do to get into the 13's thats my goal but if its possible to hit hi 12's i would like to know how.....thanks

 

high 12's on stock sohc is hard to do but is possible. I ran 13psi on stock sohc in a civic coupe and ran 13.4 on drag radials with a 2.1 60' time. I believe on drag radials, it would do high 12's. But on the used kit part, the main thing that could possibly be bad or high mantience is the turbo itself. The manifold, just watch for cracking, the intercooler, just watch for bent fins but all used intercoolers will have bent fins , just make sure it doesn't leak. And the piping is just piping. I was runniing stock motor, drag 3 kit, inline fuel pump, fmu, etc. RC 310cc injectors, and avc-r boost controller at 13psi. That was it. Paul
