turbo for sohc
Ok, I was gonna get a B16 to swap with my stock sohc VTEC d-series engine (I have a '96 Honda Civic EX). But that is pretty expensive considering I also want the DRAG III kit. I figure I'm gonna run with the sohc I have, and put the turbo on that. But, I'm wondering if I'll get decent boost with it. Anyone got an answer??

u can run 6-7 psi safely on an SOHC vtec motor....assuming that u have ur fuel tuned to run that amount of boost. A lot of other people run more boost on their stock motor..but im saying 6-7 running as a daily driver....i've heard a lot of different times for a 6-7 psi on a drag kit for the SOHC too...some people say high 14s...some say low 14s..and even some say high 13s...My guess would be high 14s......

you'll be able to run at least low 14's on 6lbs of boost with the DRAG 3 kit
at 8 lbs, we have seen cars that we out together with just the DRAG kit hit mid 13's.
you wont need to upgrade the fuel injectors until you pass 10lbs.
Daily it at 7lbs and occasioanl 9lbs when racing should be fine.

Re: turbo for sohc (MCNease)
On a Civic coupe(full interior and no slicks) at 8psi, I wouldn't expect anything better than mid 14s. Unless, this same car was at sea level with temperatures not exceeding 40deg with an extremely dry climate.
