i am building a 2001 civic ex shoc 1.7. i have destroked it to a d1.6 and have fully worked the motor. eagle rods, arias pistons, sleeved, block gaurd, gude cam ,ported polished head, the compression is 11:1 may be higher but not sure yet due to milling of the deck. i have been wating for the oil pump but plan on puttin the motor in the car tonight. looking at about 180-200 hp n/a and with the nitrous 350+ to the wheels! what do ya think

 

I doubt your going to get that much hp from that combination that you came up with. I also didn't realize they made made parts for that engine yet. I know they make some parts but I don't think the ones you came up with. I would believe that your going to need alot more stuff to add to that list to make 180-200hp.

 

yea i don't think that 190-200 whp out of a sohc with those parts even.

Thats the same thing they told him on the 7thgencivic site too but he just dosn't get it. Fot that kind of power you would need to spin well beyond 8.5k and compression would have to be 13.1. And at that compression if you sparay n2o id like to see it cuz i'm sure it would be unlike anything i have ever seen.........boom!!!LOL Yes I am a member of the 7thgencivic web site cuz I have been driving one for over a year that is till my hybrid hatch is finished.
