Default shifter bushings

i replaced my shift linkage bushings yesterday but i can get the bolts of the end of the shift linkage that goes behind the shifter upwards in to the car.WTF? how can i take em out to put the wider polyurethane piece in i only go ti piece on the front of linkage in....

remove your shifter console, then, ask someone to hold the bolts with vise grips inside the car. Go under the car snd remove the bolt, use a lot of loose nut. If you wanna make things easier, remove the shift rod from the transmission that comes with the shift lever, then, work on a bench, that's what I did
