Removing the manual shifter linkage
Does any one know what I need to do to remove the shifter connector from the linkage. The part the rod connects to the shifter on the bottom. What bolts do I need to take out. I need to drop both the bars on the bottom in for me to get the sway bar through. Only the shifter side. The trans side can be left dangling. Thanks

Re: Removing the manual shifter linkage (EL Vap133)
remove bolts #4 and #5 this will allow for the entire shift assy. to drop down, just remember to remove the shift **** before dropping the linkage down. When installing the shifter back in place be sure to guide the shifter through the rubber boot and shifter cover.

Thanks a lot guys. Thats what I thought. Removing just 4 and 5 should work. Bolts 2 and 3 on my shifters rod is rusted to where there is no side on the bolts.
