building block on budget
i recently put skunk2 cams ,springs, retainers, and intake manifold on my b16. im wanting to do something to the block. what is the best, less exepensive high compression piston and titanium rods to use?
hehe, you say titanium rods and inexpensive so casually. I'd say the best piston for your application is the PCT piston (Civic Type R B16B). They're ~$300, and will raise your compression (somebody help, the CR calculator is broken again!)
You'll be fine N/A w/ stock rods.

CTR pistons and a 2-layer headgasket will yield you just aoubt a 11.1:1 compression, which is much better than the stock compression on the B16. And while its apart, since your on a budget, have the stock B16 rods shotpeened, for a little more strength.
