Default accord dyno results... =(

posted this in the "accord" section already....

i went to inline pro in springfield, va earlier this afternoon (saturday) to get my car tuned... dynotuning scared the shiet out of me and at the end of the day i left a little disappointed... but then again, i shouldn't have high expectations... i was almost afraid to post my numbers up but then again, i'm looking for help on this board-not to get bashed... took a few pics for fun too... sorry i haven't had a chance to scan the dyno sheet but it comes out to about 140 hp at the wheels and 155 lbs of torque at 6 psi... inline says i could be losing about 20-30 hp because of the auto and real hp may be higher on the street than on the dyno... definitely need to beef up the tranny before i think about 10 psi... anyway, got 3" exhaust piping sitting at home... waiting for skunk2 cam gear in the mail... will be getting profec b soon... and talking to a few people about auto tranny upgrades to handle boost...

people will say swap a manual tranny but i'm still going for a turbo'd auto (accord)... what other upgrades should i get..? and what can i expect with 8 or 10 psi..? help...

What size exhaust piping you runnings at the mo?.. Uh yeah you will lose about 25% through the (AUTO)tranny compared to 15% for a manual!!! Um what help are you after? A higher stall converter will help you out, personally get a new manual, honda autos blow goats...

automatics can be good but they are not cheap to make them that way.

new reaction plates, clutches, a good torque converter with more locking pressure and higher stall speed, valve body adjustment, etc. etc.

manual tranny has me hooked though. I love it no mater what, even in traffic.

thanks for the responses... i currently have 2.5" drag downpipe, 2.25" test/straight pipe, and 2.25" 5zigen fireball catback exhaust... i got 3" exhaust piping sitting in my room (thanks to Mkteller8) and i'm waiting for a 5zigen universal turbo muffler to come in... hope that will help some... "new reaction plates, clutches, a good torque converter with more locking pressure and higher stall speed, valve body adjustment, etc. etc."-where to find..?? level ten seems like the only choice but some say they are overrated and not worth it...

If lean out the car more 4.2k RPMS then you should gain some power. Looks to be running too rich up top to me..

Change out the VAFC for Hondata.

Get your A/F ratio lookin' like this:

Then you should make some good power.

140 hp at the wheel? Did you ever dyno it before the turbo? You should be getting at least 150 at the wheel with 6psi.

I'm basing it off integra ls (auto). Both about the same hp (stock) but it seems like ls auto give better numbers once turboed which is wierd b/c we have no vtec. Your torque is quite impressive b/c usually hp is suppose to be greater than your torque, but I could be wrong. Also, I think you need to get rid of the inline fuel pump and get an intank fuel pump.

turbozxi, are you talking about the red line, which hits 16 at 3500 rpms..?

LS-T2001, i wonder if having a smaller turbo has anything to do with it..? i'm using a t3 super 60 turbo instead of those that normally come in a drag kit...

The type of dyno maters too. Some give off higher and lower numbers then others.
Mustang, Dynojets, etc.

No bro, you see the flat line at the bottom of the dyno sheet, that tells you how rich or lean you are, (12.1 A/F ration is about right) or 12 on the graph should be as rich as you want to go, as you can see you go well below that as your rpms increase meaning you are running very rich...

I don't think the smaller turbo matters too much unless you are producing more than 300+ hp. All the smaller turbo will do is spool up faster and produce less lag then the bigger t3/t4. For the a/f ratio you want something around 12 - 12.5 .. Next time, you might want to dyno it on d3 instead of d4 (forget if accords have d3 but d3 is good up to 110mph) and I'm sure you could boost up to 7-8 psi and still be within your limits.

EgSick, yea-scott told me about you... 330 whp @ 7 psi is pretty crazy...

LS-T2001, you do bring up a good ******* point... auto accords do have d3 (d2 and d1)... and if i can remember correctly, inline pro had a difficult time dynoing the car cause they tried to keep the car in 3rd gear (using d4???)... i'm getting the profec b in week... 10 psi-here i come...
