Who out there has an AUTOMATIC TURBO, please step up...
Hey I'm really curious about what kind of numbers automatic turbos are producing. I have an automatic LS integra that I will be dyno tunning in about a week or so. I'm going to dyno it at 8psi and I was just wondering if that's a good idea before I do anything stupid. Right now I'm boosting at 6psi and I would like to see if there are any dyno results out there. I know for sure Shadowdawn is making around 190 hp at the wheel w/ 7psi. I'm hoping for those numbers and I'm curious in what other HT automatics are getting.

Depends on turbo size really, I got 189whp at 8psi but could have easily gotten 200+whp if I tuned a little leaner, I was shooting for 12.0-12.3 If I stepped up to 12.5 area I would have had that extra hp...... but I like my motor and tranny so I'll sacrifice a little hp before I swap the faithful auto out.

Congrats on the numbers today Danny. I am sure with more tuning and getting rid of that cat you should be over 200whp easily. I was actually very impressed for an automatic that thing halls some serious ***. If you want me to host your dyno numbers let me know. Later

Yea mine does too sometimes too, I'd be glad to host the pics if you need space, would be the second auto turbo dyno I think like ever hosted on this site.

yea man i was pretty impresased today , after alot of screwing around we got your fuel better, but still with a little more work we can get you to 200, i tihnk with leaning it out a little more and no cat, maybe playing with your timing . i think we can easily break that goal .

JRSC with an automatic. 6 psi, 193 whp with a/f ~12.5:1 and stock intake and exhaust. Custom 3" intake and custom 2.5" exhaust are both on their way right now, and I'm sure I can break 200 whp with those. If not, I've got a 9 psi pulley waiting.
Yes, I know it's not a turbo

I really don't believe you... For one, on Jacksonracing.com there's a dyno graph of a "SticK" LS/RS/SE integra with jrsc and i/e/h and it only made 161HP at the wheel. Now, you are telling me that your AUTOMATIC made more HP then a stick?? Got to call BS on this one. Another thing, a Turbo will always make more top end then a supercharger therefore once we hit around 3500 rpm we are gaining our lost HP/tq right up to redline. And there is no way for a supercharger automatic to make more hp/tq then a turbo when you dyno it.

I have a prelude. You asked about autos and boost, I chimed in. Appologies for the confusion.

Those numbers seems still pretty high for an automatic jrsc w/ stock intake and exhaust... If those numbers are real then I should of gotten a prelude and turbo that Could of made at least +30 more whp then a supercharger. Do you have a dyno graph?? I'm curious about the torque to whp ratio.

Gee wiz,
Never mind the funky torque curve below 4500 rpm, I think I might be having a problem with the torque converter.
Yah, I guess you should have

What size exhaust / DP you running on there? What about cat? Those are impressive numbers, congrats

Re: Who out there has an AUTOMATIC TURBO, please step up... (incogNitto)
Thanks. This was my setup when I dyno'd:
Y2K SS JRSC
Hayden 677 tranny cooler
EFI Systems PMS
RCE 550 cc injectors
J&S Ultra SafeGuard V2
Hondata IM Gasket
DC Sports CC header
stock cat, stock exhaust
AEM TruPower pulleys
Mugen S2000 thermostat
Mugen thermo fan switch
Mugen radiator cap
stock intake
K&N drop-in filter
Moroso oil catch can
Goodyear Gatorback belts
NGK BCPR7ES-11 spark plugs gapped at .035
VTEC engagement@4500 RPM
I have since added a Kamikaze header with 2.5" collector, a Tech Edge v1.5, and have a custom 3" cold air intake, a 2.5" cat, and a full 2.5" custom exhaust all on their way. I also have a Jacob's ICEPak and a 9 psi pulley waiting to be installed. I'll be above 200 whp when all is done. Then I'm going to run the tranny into the ground.

How did you tune your fuel setup? 550 cc injectors are huge? Are u using the fmu or something?

don't the supercharger on integra suck... I won't even get 140hp with that 6psi pulley from jrsc. If u want to keep your bolt on then I recommand vortech supercharger. Hey Wah, does the chip really work or what does it do? Also, do you know I might be able to get a stock automatic ecu for 94-95 integra?

Re: Who out there has an AUTOMATIC TURBO, please step up... (LS-T2001)
Well i have no dyno proof that it works or not.. but when i shift manually at my rev limiter of 7500 rpm, i feel a stronger pull then shifting at stock redline... so you suggest the vortech over jsrsc? I will look into that.. I love turbo, but I'm staying away from it because somehow I think its more dangerous on my motor and my buddy with an mr2 turbo blew up his not too long ago.. It cost him 5gz to replace.. I dont wanna go through that.. I just plan on getting at least 190whp with 6-8psi with s/c on stock internals until I get more $ in the future..

Re: Who out there has an AUTOMATIC TURBO, please step up... (Type Wah)
I highly suggest you do NOT get the vortech as it makes power at and past our redlines normally, that turbo being less reliable is bullshit, a JRSC is more prone to detonation during partial throttle then a fmu fuel based turbo. Please inform yourself before deciding jrsc, turbo, and useless vortech on your car. If you don't I can almost garuntee you will run into problems no matter what FI you decide to go with.
