Fuel Cut off Switch
Ok, I know this has been covered and i know you all are just gonna say go search it, but i did. I was just wondering which wire to splice into at the fuel pump. When i did the search people just said the yellow one but theres two yellow ones, one of them is a yellow with a black strip running down it, and the other is i think a yellow one with a green strip. Which should i pic. or should i play the, do i feel lucky game........hmmm....do I.
go get a normal switch. Cut the specified wire. Run both ends of the cut wire to the swith (hidden). When the switch is open the car with not get fuel. When the switch is closed, PRESTO.. your car starts..
Not to be a dick but now that evryone who reads this knows what color wire to cut, all those BIATCHASSTHIEVES know what wire to trace.....Hmmmm just my .02.

so cut the (yellow with green stripe) wire run one side to the switch positive and the other to the negative side on the switch and im set? if so..thanks peagreen
Ok, on my ek hatch i pulled the rear seat off to get access to the fuel pump. The plastic covered tube coming out of the metal pan has wires in it. I pulled the wires out of the plastic tube and found the silver dotted yellow wire that has a black strip running down it. I went to a hardware store and bought a 10/15 amp single throw switch. Then i placed the switch in a james bond type location so no one can really see it, ohh yeah dont tell anyone where it is. cut the yellow wire and wire each end to each terminal on the switch. After that hide the wires and make sure if you pull the seat up you cant see that youve screwed around with the pump wires.
