Default Knock Sensor Location

Where is the knock sensor on a D16Z6? Photos would help hooking up my ECU since I don't have a Si chassis wiring harness (CX to Si) conversion. I wired the Vtec and Oil pressure wires through the left side harness but now all those plugs are wired up so where does the knock sensor wire to? Thanks

The D16Z6 doesn't have a knock sensor. That's one of the benefits of going with this engine...

Well that explains alot, now then, why is my ECU still popping up my check engine light after I reset it?

pull the code...

and did you convert your O2 sensor to a 4 wire O2 sensor?

CX to Si wiring only consists of wiring VTEC (spool solenoid and oil pressure), and 4 wire O2 sensor. That is it.

4 wire O2 sensor??? Explain... The O2 sensor on the car is a two wire I believe. COuld this make the car run rich? I can watch the fuel gave visibly drop a 1/4 tank when I nail the throttle (WOT). THoughts? Wouldn't this be a good thing if I go turbo? Rich fuel mixture I mean...

No such..

The CX comes with a 1 wire O2 sensor, an the D16Z6 is supplied with a 4 wire O2 sensor. And when using a P28, it requires a 4 wire O2 sensor...

Here is how to wire it:

Wht goes to Wht then goes to D14 (O2 pin-out)
Grn goes to Grn-Wht then goes to intake air temp sensor
Blk goes to Yel-Blk goes to ground
Blk goes to Org-Blk goes to A6 (heat control pin-out)

When you say white goes to white, do you mean the left side clip on the shocktower? Also which black goes where or does it matter? And the air intake temp sensor is on the throttle body right? what color wire do you know? Thanks

I mean by the harness. There is a harness that clips into the O2 sensor connector.

I am talking from the O2 sensor itself, to the connector, then directly on the engine harness.

As for black wires, they do not matter.
