I was reading in the other thread about the bad bearings freezing--what happens?----Iv'e been driving on bad bearings for 82k and now i'm starting to question how much time I have left---is this trans a ticking timebomb? Will it just lock-up and the car will skid?

 

I'm sorry, and not to be a dick, but:

Why do you have 2 on-going topics about the same thing?

I mean really all of this could have been answered in one central thread about trannies.

Actually thread # 380177 was not my topic. And even though your tranny locked you out of certain gears I'd like to hear what happened, if it happened to other people on this board. Just cause your a moderator and you make a post in a thread doesn't mean all my questions and inquiries are magically answered. i.e. what would happen at 65 m.p.h. highway speeds in 5th gear if my bearings decide to crap out, thats pretty important to me being it is potentially life-threatening if the car just starts skidding.
