Default 225/50r15???

I wnat to put a 225/50r15 on some ssr comps.. How bad do you think they would rub on a crx? i have eibach prokit springs and plan on gettin koni yellows.. I have the energy susp bushing kit if that matters.. Cause i want some wide tires for more traction since my **** is so light.. and they make some nice tires in taht size and the new bfg drags along with the bfg kd whatevers....

on the street? if you are getting race tires, and want 225's, get kumhos ecsta 225/45-15's. they are narrower (and more durable) than the hoosier 225, but wider that than the 205 and are not too tall. as far as the street goes, a 205/50 is fine.

That's a freakin huge tire. They barely fit under and Integra, let alone a lowered CRX. Plus, the tire would kill your gearing as it is much too tall.

If your cars lowered at all. 205+ is going to rub.

EDIT: depending on how much its lowered and tire.

205 tires is probably the widest you can go without hitting when turning...
i got 205/40/16 with a 43 offset. im guessing if you get a good offset you can maybe stretch it to 215, but maybe the tire will stick out a little..
