Longer gears means higher MPH in a given gear

im actually running a dx until i fix my si, but all i all, si is better. period. unless your just lookin for fuel economy. that would be one reason to have the dx i guess

people say "well a LS tranny is awesome for turbo d series", while forgetting that an B series LS tranny and sohc vtec ex/si tranny are almost identical gearing wise.

stick with the ex/si

i think you meant either LS and B-series, or dx and d-series. but i get the point. and i think you are right as well. the ex/si may be the most closely geared d-series tranny, while the gears and still tall enough to make it the best for boost.

The EX/SI tranny is the best for a turbod SOHC ,hands down..do not try the DX it will be a waste of your time trust me...

also stay far away from the POS Cx tranny

Or try to find a JDM D15 tranny, it has an LSD on it...

or ZC tranny with SI final drive.

yeah the lsd tranny would be the best obviously, and alot cheaper than buying a quaife. ZC tranny is a cable tranny. So unless you want to convert from hydro to cable, it wont work.
