I heard people say that long gears are good for boost. well at what point is that true? I had an Si tranny and it broke so I replaced it with my stock S/dx tranny.
Is this a better tranny for boost?

Well my understanding is that the shorter the gears the better the acceleration whether its boosted or na, and longer gears for boost is just a myth. Im also curious toknow how much of a gain could be seen going from a dx tranny to an si.

its nicer for high speed driving....but other than that...the si/ex feels so much better.

I have a 96 cx...the tranny is LONG. I'd really like to upgrade to an ex tranny. I have no actual numbers, but I'd swear the CX transmission will run in boost from 60-115 mph in 3rd.
I'd much rather have more agressive gearing and shift once in a while.
