Which MAP sensor in EF with B16?
I just used my DX sensor, and I was forwarded info that the stock one will cause engine to run way too rich.
I have the B16 one laying around.. should I bother putting it in?
Will I be running too rich?

Do not use the DX map. It will make the engine run too rich.
Use the Si or HF one. Or any newer Honda MAP sensor.
The B16 one works just fine.

i will say....that u are better getting a TB that has a map sensor build in it like a Z6 type of TB.... u can fit B series TB into the Z6 manifold.. i dont see why u cant use a Z6 TB ported and polished into a B series manifold and have a more reliable MAP sensor...
ok.. here is what I am going to do and answer this question once and for all...
I will take voltage readings at IDLE and with the engine off.. and compare the two. If its 2.8v with the engine off then its the same
I am told there will be no difference..
I will post up the results later.

MAP readings arent the same when engine tis ON and OFF>
it varies depending on the air pressure (vacumm )
thats why is called Manifold Absolut Pressure sensor
when the car its on and u disconect the map sensor its should either stall or drop rpms.... in my case my engine stalls....

I know that... what I am going to do is...... well nevermind.. RioNinja already proved my point.
Thanks Rio.
-Chris, who will not take the time to swap out the DX MAP sensor.

I was under the impression that any MAP sensor off an MPFI-equipped motor will work...mine is from a '91 Integra LS. Didn't bother trying the original DPFI MAP sensor.
