I just changed the seals behind the cam gears cause they were leaking. I had to remove the starter and loosen the alt belt to do this cause i also had to take the crank pulley off so i could set the timing properly. I didnt take the cams out to do this and didnt remove anything with wires beside the battery.
I went to start it up and it sounds like the battery is dead but its showing a charge on my charger. It wont turn over at all and the lights and the radio work but it sounds like the battery is dead
Can anyone help????

Well, make sure you try the easiest solution first, it will save you a lot of hassle 9 times out of 10.

When my battery died, i could turn on the lights and stuff, but not enough juice to start it, so try jump starting it, or push starting it before you replace parts.

And remember the basic rule,

if the engine wont run, check for fuel, spark and air first.

Was the battery good before you changed the seals. WOuld it not start like right after you put it back together. Were you listening to the radio while working on it???

 

Make sure all the connections are secure, the battery and the starter.

Might as well and check the big 80 amp fuse under the hood.

Sounds like you didnt plug the wire back into the starter.

 

Did you hook up the ground by the starter?

 

It turned out that the battery was very dry so i added some distilled water and charged it for 2 hours and when i went to start it it would only turn over if i gave it gas.
So i messed with the intake and throttle and got it to start

also BTW:
Is the t-belt suppose to wobble a little along the side by the exhaust manifold while the throttle is open?
