Default Turbo Preps

I just got my car back from the body shop after an accident...i just got a Fmax turbo kit but the engine does not look like it can handle boost...when i start the car the engine block (especially the intake manifold) jerks, also when i rev the engine it jerks...I just want some advice before I take it to the perf. shop. Is there a way I can tighten up the engine myself? Or good way to prep my car for the darn boost?
