I put a cai on my brothers car and the sensor that goes in the intake fell off or was loose anyways his CEL came on.. I didint want to check it so I just reseted the CPU and put it back on good. Do you think if that sensor fell off would a Cel come on. Oh its the one hooked up the the MAP thing.

 

are you talking about the IAT ?

isn't that the temp sensor. you need that to live. yes you would probably get SES light.

 

Yes, without that sensor plugged in, the CEL definately comes on.

 

it was super duper loose it was almost falling off...so I put it on restet the computer and nothing else happened.

 

Sounds like you fixed it.
