Default Intake Question

A buddy of mine had an AEM short ram intake that he used to have on his Integra. We hooked it up to my 2000 Civic EX. The install went really smooth, the only thing is that with the stock intake there was a sensor that went into it, and with the AEM intake there is no spot for it. we left the sensor just chilling, started the car up, and went around the block. Perfect idle, perfect driving, and no CEL. so im assuming that its perfectly fine, BUT if its not, please tell me.

he doesnt have a MAF sensor, he has a MAP sensor. anyways you may be referring to the IAT (intake air temp.) sensor. is it a small plastic piece with a 1/2-3/4 inch tip sticking out of it?

Yea its the IAT, its pretty useless IMO, it doenst affect the idle or driving at all but if you really feel the need for it tho, you can always drill a small hole and stick it in.
