The k24 is a bigger k20. Ive heard of people doing k24 blocks with the RSX typeS head. IE crvtec conversion. With the RSX head and the k24 block it should make for a very powerful motor.

The k24 should bolt up to the civic - although im not 100% sure. You should give hasport a call and ask - they would know for sure.

my friends were telling me to swap my motor for a k20a2 or k24 and i have an 02 civic (theyre crazy educated with that ****) so im guessing it will fit in a si. while we're on the subject, can you do a b series swap into 02 civics?

hmmm. i am sure that there are no bolt in kits, but anything can be done with lots of money. I would probabally try to get a rsx-s engine if i were you.

Nope. Reason why is that the B series engines are 2001 and older.....if you put a 2001 engine in a 2002 chasis, it's illegal.

Hasport has swap kits for the K series into the 02 Civics.

Yes, the K24 is the same block as the K20. It like the previous generation B18 - B20 relationship is a larger bore and possibly stroke.

Don't the 7th gen Civics come with the old D-series motors, which have basically the same mount points as the B-series? Only the Si has the different mount points for the K-series motors.

I think hasport has the mounts for a "K" motor into a new civic platform (2k1 and up) in the works.

The D17A2's mount points are not the same as a B's- otherwise youd see plenty of B series in 7th gens by now (2001 GSR/Type R's in 2k1 Civics)...you should see how many of these threads are created a day over at 7gcivic.com.

Can you do it? With the right amount of money.
Is it worth it? Nope.

Cams and valves are different and the ECU has a performance orintated programming not a workload/SUV programming.
