The type-S head is differant , then a normal JDM h22A head. For one the type-S head is hand ported and polished ...!

Check Osaka...although I doubt they would sell you just the head.

anyone know what type of gains would be seen w/just the head on a H22a4??

everything they do is pretty mild, cams some headwork and pistons and it only gives you 10 more hp.. for the cost of a type s head send your head to dpr and have it done.. i had mine done and it is a masterpeice

the only thing i would buy from the type s is the lsd tranny

chances of you finding a type s head only is pretty minimal.

have you even seen a head up close ????? the porting that shops do and what they (honda) does is very very very minima.... i've personally seen a 2001 type-r head with 20 miles overeved and when we replaced the valves i was looking for a port and polish and i'm sorry but i was like so disapointed.. this is off of a 2001... i've seen also a JDM h22a head and i'ts reletively the same treatment .. the only thing is the casting marks are removed on the type-r head.. a bit, and the h22a ones show.. other than that for the price get other stuff.. because your not going to see gains... i seriously disagree..
