supposedly type s head

Default supposedly type s head

Just put a "type S" head on my jdm h22a. How can i tell if i actually put a type s head on? it says it was made in 96 thats all i got.

If it has P13 stamped on the head it's not a Type S. I think it should have P5P stamped on it.

Is the main difference, between a normal H22 head & a Type S, the valve/valve pocket angles?

yes p5p stamp is what you want ...cams are bigger and not sure on the rest

i would like to knwo how someone got ahold of a type s head with out the botom end

The bottom end of the H22 motors like to burn oil and depending on the setup blow. The Type-s head should also be mildly ported and polished.

i'm thinking your h22 won't be a "type-s" with only the type-s head. you would need the type-s pistons too.

it doesn't have to run with that though...so look for p5p stamp on the front of the head...ill do that today...if i see p13 anywhere than its no good right?

yea if he told you it was a type s then i would be mad however if its too go to be true it probly is ..if i got a type s head for 400 bucks i would bet it wasnt a type s head..untill i saw it

i actually foudn him through http://www.roclife.org which is supposed to be respectable...oh well can't win them all
