largest turbo for streetcar?
hey guys..well im in a bind on deciding to jump to a larger turbo. right now i have a precision sc54 t3 t4 w/ 63ar it maxs at 620 hp. i talked to precision today and since i wanted to make a decent amount of power..mid to upper 5's , they said i could do it w/ the sc54 at 20ish lbs...id really rather do it with less lbs if possible. the guys their suggested i go w/ a te63 60 ar . i ve never heard of anyone runin a t6 on a streetcar at all. im wondering how the car would drive just goin around town? i dont care if its not at full boost till 5.5k or 6k but the car needs to still move and not slug around. the way i understand it is that , the car will spool but not reach full boost , so where does that leave me...will i still have some torque to move around town? i dont streetrace so i think a te63 would be nice for the times at the track. i know its long and multiparted question..bear w/ me. i looked at motormatrix.com's post about making 5 somethin hp on 26psi...that s too much psi for me yet he says the car drives great for a street car w/ a b16 motor. i am using a gsr motor 84 mm 10:1 cr. will have liquid spool for the track but im concerned about being able to drive when the light turn s green to stay w/ traffic(stop n go)??
thanks.

Roby, At 10:1 compression your car will move off fine even all motor. wanna make big hp with less boost?? go with the PT67. 760-815 hp. making 500 will be cake. get it with a 68 rear housing and it will spool fine. trust me you wont want full boost on that turbo going stoplight to stoplight. Unless you have a good ticket attny. mY other suggestion is the sc61 which is t3/t4 and is rated at 680hp. according to harry that turbo is 15yrs ahead of all the others. Ask arturbo about that one. I know he is your turbo salesman.
mike , i couldnt find a 67 on pte s site..did u mean a t68?
PT68 4 Bolt
The PT68 turbocharger utilizes Precisions high effiency 4 bolt turbine housing. Upping the rated output to 795 HP!!! Enough for that 9 second timeslip!!! A converter with 3400 stall is recommended.
$ 1095.00

Its a custoem turbo probably not listed on there. its a t67 with a 68 compressor housing. one of harry's mad scientist turbos. He claimed 760-815 hp. talk with arturbo he know which one it is.
