turbo set ups...
I have been wondering how come i haven't seen any preludes with turbos connected to the intake end, i have always seen them on the exhuast end.
are there no kits to have that way or nobody has attempted? Thanks guys.

a turbo charger re-routes the exhaust fumes throught the intercooler, then back into the engine. a supercharger increases the ammount fresh air that goes into the intake mani. any other questions refer to the official turbo prelude thread.

WHAT THE **** ARE YOU GUYS TALKING ABOUT??????
a turbo uses an exhaust driven system. the exhaust flows through the turbine housing spinning the turbine wheel as it flows out your exhasut system. the turbine is on a shaft connected to the compressor which pulls in outside air and compresses it THEN pushes FRESH OUTSIDE AIR through the intercooler to cool the air and make it more dense, THEN into the engine..... a turbo HAS to be mounted somewhere near the exhaust side in order to power the compressor

no problem, it's all good..... you just assumed that's how it worked, it's ok, a lot of people initially think a turbo does something odd like that..... to be honest, up until i became interested in turbo systems, i didn't know a damn thing about them, i had seen them on cars, but never really knew how they worked, i just acted like i did
reason why i asked this is because i have seen a supra with the turbo on the intake side, plus i was at my pop's auto shop and found an old mitsibishi turbo turbine, the only problem with it is that it has a hole where the oil flows. is there any possible way to replace parts on a turbin itself?if so where?
