i have line to a Y21 tranny that may or may not have a LSD. it's on a JDM B16 SiRII motor (5-series). my friends and i lifted the front of the car, put it in first gear and tried to take off one of the lug nuts on the passenger side wheels. to our surprise, both wheels turned at the same time in the same direction. does this mean the tranny has a LSD in it? thanks in advance...

....there's not LSD stamp....might have to take the tranny off the block to check for sure i guess...sux...

 

i have had a y21 from a 5 series sir2. it came with a lsd and both tires spun. ifu dont feel like taking off your axles and looking through it. just launch your car on the street and look to see if you have 2 tire marks. ill bet that you do have the lsd though.

 

we're just gonna pull out the motor and put it into his new hatch but we'll take off the tranny just to make sure...or peek through it with the axles off or something...
