Default suspension question on 95 teg

I'm gonna install a combination of koni yellow with H&R Sport. It drops about 1.75"(front) and 1.5"(rear). Do I need to do any adjustment? Or just plug and play. This is my first time to mess with suspension, I got the service manual for help. Am I just taking out the old and pluging in the new? Please advice.

Just remimber the spring and shock assembly come out of the car compressed as one whole unit.... so dont try to put the spring compressor on... might as well install a camber kit all the way around as well ... and since the brakes and rotors are all coming off... might want to replace new if there old .. worn out ... as well as easy access to change the axles out if yours are ancient

man what in the world is all that you're doing, brakes and rotors and axles do not need to come out just to change springs and shocks.

I have H&R Sport + Koni shocks and camber kit is not needed as long as you get the car aligned properly and rotate your tires frequently.

i agree you dont need to remove the rotors and axles , but i would also put the camber kit on, for the back just use some nicle thick washers behind each upper control arm mountining bracket and get that **** aligned, dont want to be chewing up tires, but you prolly wont cause the cars not that low. but always a good safeguard anyway.......

There is no way a 1.5" drop in the rear will cause camber wear probs. No way.

sounds like alot of work for a first timer. slow down on this guy! I'd say get the springs and shocks under your belt first! You might even like it.

its pretty much plug and play... as to the adjustment setting on the Koni's just play around w/ the setting (towards or away from FIRM) to where you like your ride..

I could do a whole write up on how to install your spring shocks.. but I think that the following websites (below) which have pictures would be more helpful to you..

http://www.bseries.net/html/garage/spring.php

http://internet.cybermesa.com/~drew/...uspension.html

make sure you get your car aligned (4 wheel alignment) so that your TOE angles is in spec.... I have a range of -1.8 to -2.1 deg camber on my car (Eibach sportlines and Koni Yellows) but I keep my alignment in check (got a lifetime alignment plan) and I don't have any odd wear patterns, or wear on the inner edges or anything... I also rotate my tires at oil changes.. so far my Dunlop SP9000's are wearing evenly...

hope that helps

your right but all that **** is gonna pretty much be broken down and easily accessible ... was just wising him up to what he can easily replace if his ride so needed it ..

And to the guy disputing rear camber wear ... well for 1 .. negative camber definately looks stank ..sure you can be cheap and not spend $100 for a rear camber kit .. have fun rotating and still getting uneven wear ... 1.5" will diffently give negative camber ... now you may not be disputing that at all .. but what do you know this guy is riding around with in his hatch ? he could have the weight of a competition sound system ? he might cart people around in the rear often ?? just dont be a crack head.. spend $100 for the kit ... youll get less static from the shops when you go to get it aligned too
