replacing shocks....would there be alignment issues?
Hey
i am currently running on eibach springs and koni yellow shocks..my question is i need to take apart the shocks and add the dust cover onto them and also...replace one bad shock....after doing all this would i need another alignment? or am i good to go...since i already had an alignment before....and im not really changing the ride height.....?
For the sake of your tires, anytime you change a suspension component,it is a highly recomended that you get an alignment.
i would also say that if you are changing a suspension component i would check the alignment....this depends on access to a machine though...i work at a dealership so i got one anytime.........if that is not possible you will probably be ok but i would get it atleast checked.......when was your last alignment???? i know some places will give like a 6 month guarentee on alignment so if you are in that position do the work and take it back to have them check it hopefully for free
good luck!
good luck!

My rule is if you are changing suspension (or modifying it) then always get an alignment. Depends where you are but usually it's $50 cdn (so around $35 us???) which seems very cheap if you factor in the price of tires if the alignment is off. Seems like money well spent to me. My .02.

aight thanks for the comment guys...also another question ..i found out that my one blown shock maybe covered under the koni warrenty....so is it possible to replace one of the shocks back with my stock shocks and run the others with the koni? will that be bad for my koni since in the rear it would be one stock shock and one koni shock??

also another question here my tires on my car are not that great...they dont have much life to them...my question if i do all of the stuff i mentioned before replacing shocks and stuff...if i get an alignment right after on the bad tires....after when i put on new tires which could be soon..would the alignment change after? or does it matter what tires you are on when you do an alignment??

As long as the ride height stays the same, the shocks do not affect suspension geometry. You can take them out and put them in as much as you want and it shouldn't make any difference as long as the ride height stays the same. Hell I even disconnected my lower balljoints when I changed my clutch and flywheel, my alignment is still fine.
