For those of you who have aluminum radiators...
Ive gotten some feedback from a few board members and want to know everybody elses....
What are the disadvantages and advantages? The most common disadvantage I keep on hearing is that its too much. It doesnt cool enough to justify the price difference.
My plastic radiator has cracked and Im leaking fluid constantly. Enough to where I shouldnt drive my car.
Will an aluminum radiator lost longer than an OEM? Does aluminum crack?
TIA

Most aluminum radiators are much more durable than the stock radiators, plus you wont see the cracks due to rust on the upper and lower endtanks (<-- right word?).
I forgot more about hondas then you will ever know....

Can anybody post pictures how you mounted your fan between the radiator and teh condenser? I should be getting mine soon and want mount my Spal thin fin in front of the radiator. Thanks
not sure if you got the radiator yet or not, but I got a great deal IMO on a Fluidyne from http://www.wholesalehyperformance.com I think it was only $369, cheaper than a OEM unit. Only problem I saw was that it didnt come with the AC fan mounts, so I was unable to put my AC fan back on. Not sure if they sent me the wrong model or not, but other than that it fit fine. I removed my AC anyway so that didnt matter. I did have to cut away some of the plastic on the cooling fan because my headers were hitting it, but that wasnt a big deal either, and I suppose one of the smaller FAL fans might fix that issue as well. I got a C&R for $380 shipped. Comes with cap, plug, and fan. I believe it has mounts for the fans on the normal position, but I want to keep it tucked away.

with a Spoon low temp thermostat, you'll see the water temp needle drop like a rock during highway driving, and sometimes even during city cruising!
sup guys.
< running Fluidyne in my C5/GSR with GSR waterpipe and Thermostat
< honda coolant
< only one radiator fan w/AC
temps stay right at the edge of the "wavy water" on the guage and
never bumps even up to half.
I can drive the engine hard as hell and it is muy muy solid. My stock
radiator spewed really bad while I could save for the Alum. and I am sure
glad I did
