Car wont start.
Ok guys let me know what you think on this?
Yesterday i was replacing valvecover gasket/o-rings. When i finished the job i cranked the car back up and it was running as always for about 5 min. I was doing something else in the garage and all of a sudden my car just shut off. I was like 'OK' so i tried to start it again and again and again. No start. I look at the motor and OOPS i forgot to hook the ground back up. So i hook it back up and nothing. It will turn over but no crank. I can smell fuel so i know its getting fuel. I tried to see if i had spark and its not getting spark. Could i have fried the igniter or the coil in the distributor??? LMK asap!!!
Thanks.

get a voltmeter and check.
You not connecting the ground wire (I assume vc stud to radiator core support) should not have caused a problem like that. We have all seen many Honda/Acuras running around with the ground strap incorrectly mounted.

Yes i have checked all fuses, none are blown. There is no check engine light coming on.. I have checked voltage on the coil and i get nothing...i get no voltage on anything inside the distributor......
Sounds like the ignitor in the distributor, I had the same problem.
Do you have an aftermarket ignition, or anything wired into the ecu?
And aftermarket capcitive discharge ignition is NOT compatible with the stock inductive unit; go all the way (stand alone) or don't bother, it will cause nothing but problems.
The other potential problem could be anything wired into the ecu (VAFC, Timer etc)... a loose wire, a wire grounding out, could very easily cause this type of problem...
Ahhh, the joys of wiring gremlins...

one hell of a coincidence. improper grounding may still ground, whereas the grounding wire not bing there def not grounds.
